Stan Schwartz 'Heart of a Champion' Award

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE STAN SCHWARTZ 'HEART OF A CHAMPION' AWARD
The award sets out to recognize those who display life skills such as determination, pride, perseverance, dedication, leadership and integrity through their pursuit of excellence on the football field, in the classroom and in the community. The award is presented annually to three (3) Calgary high school seniors (Division I; Division II; and Division III). In addition to the award, each of the recipients will receive a $500.00 scholarship for use in a post-secondary educational program.  The $500.00 will be given to the recipient upon the Club receiving confirmation that the recipient is enrolled in a post-secondary educational program.
 
Specifically, the award recognizes the work of individual Calgary high school senior football players who demonstrate:
-    excellence on the football field
-    contribution to the team off the field
-    contribution to the community
-    contribution to the school
-    personal perseverance
-    athletic perseverance
  
High school coaches and faculty members are encouraged to send in their nominations for this award.


APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THIS AWARD
Information will be emailed to Athletic Directors and Football Coaches at all CSHSAA member schools each year in September. All application details will be confirmed in the email.
