Awards

The following Scholarship Award opportunities are provided to Grade 12 athletes in the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association:


The Calgary Booster Club High School Scholarship Awards
Since 1956 the Calgary Booster Club has awarded scholarships annually to Grade 12 student athletes attending Calgary Board of Education and Calgary Catholic School District high schools. The scholarships are for use in a post-secondary educational program.

Scholarships have been awarded to student-athletes in the following sports: Football, Boys Volleyball, Girls Volleyball, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Boys Cross Country, Girls Cross Country, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Wrestling, Girls Wrestling, Boys Swimming or Diving, Girls Swimming or Diving, Boys Badminton, Girls Badminton, Boys Rugby, Girls Rugby, Girls Field Hockey, Boys Track & Field, Girls Track & Field.

The Calgary Booster Club has also provided 3 annual scholarships to student-athletes for Overall 3rd Year Male Athlete, Overall 3rd Year Female Athlete and Overall 3rd Year Male or Female Athlete in the Small Schools Division.

The Calgary Booster Club has also provided additional scholarships each year to student-athletes for Maximum Participation Over 3 Years.

The Stan Schwartz Heart Of A Champion Award Scholarship
The Calgary Stampeders Football Club presents the Stan Schwartz Heart of a Champion Award each year to 3 Senior Football athletes in Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3. In addition to the Award, each recipient also receives a $500 scholarship for use in a post-secondary educational program. 


The Father Whelihan Memorial Scholarship Award
The Father Whelihan Committee provides 2 scholarships of $2,000 each year to Grade 12 male student athletes; one for a Calgary Board of Education student athlete and one for a Calgary Catholic School District student athlete.
